 Position Title:            Account Manager - Target

Department:              Sales

Exemption Status:    Exempt

Reports to:                 Vice President, Sales


Summary of Responsibilities:

The Target Account Manager is responsible for the program management of our Target business.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who takes initiative to positively influence the business.  They must be collaborative and possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.  They will also resolve issues proactively, serving as a liaison between Garven internal departments and/or Target, managing internal communications, and driving all timelines and deliverables to ensure all goals and objectives are met.


Detailed Job Tasks:

  • Responsible for understanding business strategies, process, and timing while meeting the objectives and requirements of Target
  • Participate in cross-functional teams, proactively communicating customer concerns within the team to ensure a collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Proactively make internal recommendations and collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimum program management and development
  • Manage internal communications  and timelines relating to Target including the facilitation of tasks with internal teams to ensure all program objectives are met
  • Liable for timely completion of all Target required forms and submissions necessary to execute program objectives
  • Create and maintain sales and margin analysis spread sheets
  • Analyze and report retail customers sales data and distribute with high level details
  • Manage sales orders and inventory with Target and internal team
  • Perform occasional store visits with feedback and photos


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Target
  • Experience with Target systems (IMN, LaunchPad, PCN, PIM, VMM, MerchIQ)
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Strong, analytical thinker with solid planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple programs with attention to detail 
  • Able to manage and prioritize along with flexibility to balance fixed scheduled functions along with variable functions
  • Ability to create and manage inventory forecasts a plus!
